Flip Flop: Daily Post

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Flip Flop.”

Ohhh an opinion I flip-flopped on… I have a few. I’m an open minded person and I listen to facts I don’t toe a party line (politically) and I don’t believe that everything in the Bible means exactly what it seems to say. (Uh oh… stuck my foot in a pile of mess there i’m sure)

Example: I lived in Arkansas under Bill Clinton. In my humble opinion he sucked royal amounts of donkey hooves. When he ran for President I was a firm: Hell no! Not my vote.. not ever! He’s bad for America! He wrecked my state… LOOK at our numbers.  However: The next term I saw what he was doing, and he was doing well. Financially America was pulled out of a deficit and there were changes being made that helped Americans. I believe it was Bill Clinton who reformed unemployment standards and now there’s a program that allows the employment agency to help people train for jobs… and demands proof that you are searching for jobs in order to get your money.

The next term I voted for him. I saw a change in the middle class… someone who didn’t just talk a bunch of promises and not actually deliver. He represented the middle class THE backbone of this country and instead of breaking it, he braced it. Without the middle class there wouldn’t be an upper-class. We the middle class buy the crap the upper class produce for sale; when we can afford it.

Kawanee was born in Alexandria Louisiana but her first real memories are of Russellville Arkansas. She's always loved to read, and has always had an vivid imagination. She grew up in a house where almost everyone read, they didn't need a TV although she could still be found planted on her butt in front of her grandma's TV watching cartoons on Saturday mornings. She made up her first story with her mother when her cat died; it was about where pets go when they die. She continued to create stories from bad dreams she had and her dad would help her change nightmares to stories. They would sit up in a chair until the scary went away. He told her that: "Dreams, good or bad, are just stories your mind makes up. You are the author of your dreams; if you don't like them rewrite them. " She was hooked and has continued to read and write stories drawing from dreams, sights and just pure imagination. She just recently decided she'd like to try and get published and fail than wonder what if. Her story continues but where it goes from here is up to you, the Reader... She hopes you'll join her in finding out where her journey goes from here!
